 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove fan shroud

Detach the coolant hose (3) of the coolant pump (4)

 Installation: Replace sealing ring (3a).

Remove coolant pump (4) from timing case cover

 Installation:
Clean sealing surfaces for coolant pump (4) and the timing case cover using clean rags.
Leakage can otherwise occur.

 Installation: Replace seal (5) for coolant pump (4).

Install in the reverse order

Check cooling system for leaktightness

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
