Remove viscous fan clutch (1)

Engines with viscous fan clutch

Drain coolant

Radiator and cylinder crankcase.

Disconnect coolant hoses (11, 12 and 32)

Inspect condition of coolant hoses and hose clamps, replace if necessary.

Loosen combination screws (33a) at belt

Remove poly-V belt (2)

Unscrew and remove coolant pump belt pulley (33)

Unscrew and remove coolant pump (34)

The coolant pump for engines 111.943/944/973/975 with compressor is

29.5 mm longer.

Installation: Clean sealing surfaces.

Coolant pumps that were originally coated with liquid sealant can be sealed with liquid sealant or paper sealant (35) in the event of a repair.
