Disassemble

Removing the coolant pump.

Remove the flange (1) with the puller (7)



Remove the snap-ring (2) from the pump housing (4).

Remove the integrated bearing shaft (3) from the impeller (6) and from the housing (4).

Press the integrated bearing shaft (3) with an appropriate mandrel.



Remove the sliding seal (5)



Check:

Check all components for damage and/or wear, replace if necessary.

Shaft diameter for the flange.

Diameter of bearing housing.

Assembling

Install the integrated bearing shaft (3) in the housing (4).

Press the bearing (3) supporting on the outside race.



Install the snap-ring (2) in the housing (4).

Danger!

Risk of injury on skin and eyes by handling heated or incandescent objects

Use protective gloves, clothes and glasses.

Uniformly heat up the flange (1).

 Maximum temperature 80°C.

Install under pressure the flange (1) on shaft (3).

The flange must face the axle end.

In order not to damage the bearing, press-on the flange with the shaft resting on a flat surface.

Install a new sliding seal (5) with the driver (12).

Ensure the perfect seating of the seal, on the shaft and in the pump housing.



Under pressure, install the impeller (6) on shaft (3).

Support the end of the shaft (3), flange side, and press-on the impeller (6) until the assembly position (A) is obtained.

 Feeler gauge.

Check coolant pump shaft operating smoothness

Turn the pump shaft, at the flange.

Install the coolant pump
