Removing the thermostat

Removing the coolant pump.

Remove the flange (1) using the puller (6)

Remove the snap-ring (2) from the pump housing (4).

Remove the integrated bearing shaft (3) from the impeller (6) and from the housing (4).

Press the integrated bearing shaft (3) with an appropriate mandrel.

Remove the impeller (6) and the sliding ring (5)

Check:

Check all components for damage and/or wear, replace if necessary.

Shaft diameter for the hub.

Assembling

Install the integrated bearing shaft (3) in the housing (4).

Press the bearing (3) supporting on the outside race.

Install the snap-ring (2) in the pump housing (4).

Danger!

Risk of injury on skin and eyes by handling heated or incandescent objects

Use protective gloves, clothes and glasses.

Uniformly heat up the flange (1).

Maximum temperature 80°C.

Install under pressure the flange (1) on shaft (3).

The flange must face the axle end.

In order not to damage the bearing, press-on the flange with the shaft resting on a flat surface.

Install the new sliding ring (5)

Install the impeller (6)

Check measurement “K”.
