Remove/install

Remove the alternator (6).

Detach retaining clamps (2) and bring electrical wiring harness (3) out of the working area.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (4).

Remove oil spray nozzle shutoff valve (1) from the oil filter housing (5).

 Collect engine oil which flows out.

Seal opening on the oil filter housing (5) with a suitable stop plug.

 Record plug

Check sealing ring of the oil spray nozzle shutoff valve (1) for damage.

If there is a problem,



replace oil spray nozzle shutoff valve (1).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check engine oil level in the instrument cluster and correct.



Read out and delete fault memory.

If a new oil spray nozzle shutoff valve (1) was installed.



Perform engine test run and check engine in the area of the oil spray nozzle shutoff valve (1) for leak tightness.
