Remove/Install

Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle.

Unscrew bolt (1)

Unlock the plug (2) at the knock sensor (A16) and pull it out

Installation: Make sure the plug (2) is correctly engaged with the knock
sensor (A16).

Remove the knock sensor (A16) from the crankcase

Install in the reverse order

Read fault memory, erase if necessary

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
