Remove/install

 Warning

Risk of burn injuries and scalding when working at AdBlue lines and the components attached to them. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when handling AdBlue. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing AdBlue

Pour AdBlue into suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.

 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Do not refill with drained AdBlue®,
as contaminated AdBlue® can result in damage to exhaust gas aftertreatment system.

 Installation: Refill with new AdBlue®. Observe Specifications for Operating Fluids.

Disconnect electrical connector (13) at electrical wiring harness (14) and expose up to SCR AdBlue fill level and temperature combination sensor (B103)

Open insulating hose (8) in area of AdBlue® line fitting to a length of approx. 10 cm and slide back

 Installation: Close zip fastener of insulating hose (8) with roll pliers.

Clamp off coolant lines (11, 12) with clamps

Mark coolant lines (11, 12) relative to AdBlue® tank (1) and remove

 Installation: Check hose clamps, replace if necessary.

Clamp off AdBlue® lines (9, 10) with clamps

Mark AdBlue® lines (9, 10) relative to AdBlue® tank (1) and remove

Remove filler line (7) from AdBlue® tank (1)

 Installation: Check hose clamp, replace if necessary.

Remove bolts (6)

Unscrew nut (3) and remove screw (5)

Remove AdBlue® tank (1) from bracket

Install in the reverse order

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run, switch off engine and check in area of AdBlue® tank (1) for leaks

Check coolant level, correct if necessary and check cooling system for leaks
