Removal/installation

Open lower maintenance flap at the right rear on the vehicle

Remove bottom charge air pipe on right

Slacken clamp on flange (1)

Unscrew lower bolt (2) and then upper bolt (3)

The charge air cooler (4) is then only connected on the flange (1). Support the charge air cooler (4) by suitable means, otherwise damage can occur.

The charge air cooler (4) can now be swiveled.

Remove clamp on flange (1)

Swivel out charge air cooler (4) and remove from flange (1)

Do not swivel out the charge air cooler (4) completely to avoid damaging the charge air cooler (4).

Installation: Replace O-ring in flange (1). Check for correct seating if the charge air cooler (4) relative to the flange (1).

Install in reverse order
