Remove/install

Remove high-pressure line.

Remove engine wiring harness (7) and vacuum line (8) from charge-air distributor (4) (arrows).

Remove bracket (1) and place to one side with electric lines.

 Bolt, bracket for engine cover on cylinder head

Remove bracket (2) and place to one side with electric lines.

 Screw, wiring harness bracket to charge-air distributor

Release and disconnect electrical connectors (3).

Remove screws (9 to 17) in reverse numerical order.

 Installation: Tighten screws (9 to 17) in numerical order.

 Screw/bolt, charge air distributor to cylinder head

Remove charge-air distributor (4).

 Installation: Replace seal (6).

Remove intake port shutoff actuator motor from charge-air distributor (4).

Only when replacing charge-air distributor (4).

Install in the reverse order.
