Remove/install

1

Remove the throttle valve actuator.

Remove exhaust gas recirculation cooler.

Remove the exhaust gas recirculation line downstream of the exhaust gas recirculation valve.

Remove the glow output stage.

Remove the ground line (1) on the bracket for the charge air pipe (2).

 For this, remove the screw (3).

Remove the retaining clips (4) on the bracket for the charge air pipe (2).

 Installation: Check the retaining clips (4) for damage.

If the retaining clips (4) are damaged,



Replace the retaining clips (4).

Remove the bracket for the charge air pipe (2).

 For this purpose, remove screws (5).

 Screw, charge air pipe holder to holder

Disconnect electrical connection (6).

 To do so, unlock the electrical connection (6).

Remove the retaining clamps (7).

 Installation: Inspect the retaining clamps (7) for damage.

If the retaining clamps (7) are damaged,



Replace retaining clips (7).

Remove the switchover valve for the exhaust gas recirculation on the charge air line (8).

Remove the charge air line (8).

 To do this, remove screws/bolts (9, 12).

 Screw, charge air line to charge-air distributor

 Bolt, charge air line to mounting plate

Remove the seals (10, 11).

 Installation: Install new seals (10, 11).

Install in the reverse order



Check

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check the leaktightness of the charge air line (8) while the engine is running.

 Visual inspection only.
