Remove/install

Open rear engine compartment flap

Open rear left maintenance flap

Slacken clamps (1, 5)

Detach charge air cooler at bottom

Remove bolts (6) and take off together with washers (7), adapter pieces (8) as well as spring washers (9).

Detach charge air cooler at top

Remove bolts (10) and take off together with washers (11) and spacer (12).

Take out charge air cooler

When taking out charge air cooler, detach both intermediate hoses (2, 4) from charge air cooler.
The intermediate hoses (2, 4) remain on respective charge air pipe.

Installation: Check the boot (3) for damage; replace if necessary.
Ensure boot (3) and intermediate hoses
(2, 4) are correctly installed.
