4 Screw

5 Exhaust gas recirculation pipe

6 Gasket

7 Sealing ring

8 Screw

9 Intake module

10 Exhaust gas recirculation valve

Remove/install

Detach vacuum hose (1) at the exhaust gas recirculation valve (10)

Detach charge air hose (2) at mixing chamber (3)

Inspect condition of hoses and hose clamps, replace if necessary.

The connection point between charge air hose (2) and mixing chamber (3) must be free of oil and grease.

Unscrew bolt (4) at exhaust gas recirculation pipe (5)

Unscrew bolt (8) and detach mixing chamber (3) at intake module (9)

Installation: Clean sealing surfaces at mixing chamber (3), intake module (9) and exhaust gas recirculation pipe (5).

Replace gasket (6) and seal (7).
