Detach, attach intake manifold at cylinder head

D09.20-0019-01

1 Take wiring loom (1) off intake manifold and off intermediate flange (arrows).

Installation: When attaching the wiring loom, ensure the wiring looms are correctly routed in the area of the intermediate flange.

2 Unplug connector (3) of camshaft position sensor (2).

3 Take off strut (4) of power steering pump at intake manifold (5) and at power steering pump (6) and place to the side with the clipped-on line.

4 Run wiring loom (1) together with connectors of injectors, of idle speed control, of gas temperature and gas pressure sensor down and out of the intake manifold.

5 Detach gas hose (8) from gas filter to gas rail at gas filter.

Do not take gas hose (8) off the gas rail until after removing the intake manifold.

Installation:Use new seals.

6 Take off bracket (7) together with gas filter at intake manifold.

7 Take intake manifold (9) off cylinder head.

8 Take intake manifold gasket (10) off cylinder head.

Installation: Clean sealing surface at cylinder head and intake manifold. Replace gasket (10). When fitting on, pay attention to the two centering sleeves at the cylinder head.
Pay attention to tightening torques for nuts and bolts.

7 Reinstall in opposite order.
