Remove/install

Remove screw (3).

Release resonator box (1) from the retaining tab (4) and remove from the air filter housing (2) in the direction of the arrow (arrow A).

Installation: Ensure that the retaining tab (4) engages correctly with the air filter housing (2).
Coat the sealing ring with lubricant.

Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 l

Install in the reverse order.

Check sealing ring in the air filter housing (2) for damage.

If damage is detected

Replace sealing ring.

Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
