Remove/install

Switch off ignition

Remove engine cover (1)

Remove air filter housing (2)

Unclip electrical connection for oxygen sensor upstream catalytic converter (G3/2x1) from bracket and disconnect

Unclip electrical line for oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter from bracket and place to one side

Remove charge air temperature sensor upstream of throttle valve (B17/7)

Disconnect electrical connection from throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

Unclip electrical line from throttle valve actuator (M16/6) and lay down to side

Remove screw/bolt (4) for charge air pipe (5) at bracket

Detach coolant line (6) to vacuum pump and engine suspension lug

Remove screw/bolts (7)

 Bolt, throttle valve actuator to charge air distributor

Remove throttle valve actuator (M16/6) upwards

 Installation: Replace seals.

Install in the reverse order

Connect diagnostic system; read out fault memory.


