B17 Intake air temperature sensor

Remove/install

Turn key in electronic ignition switch control unit to position "0"

Open engine hood

Unplug connector (1) from temperature sensor for intake air (B17)

Take the temperature sensor for intake air (B17) off the mount and remove

Do not pull out or insert intake air temperature sensor (B17) with connector plugged in otherwise the locking arms will be over-tensioned.

Replace temperature sensor with defective snap-in-brackets.

Press together snap-in brackets (arrows) and detach intake air temperature sensor (B17).

Installation: Replace seal ring.

Install in the reverse order

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out fault memory and erase if necessary
