Remove/install intake air temperature sensor

Remove/Install

Remove underride guard

Separate electrical connector (1) at intake air temperature sensor (B17)

 The electrical connector (1) secures simultaneously the snap-in brackets (arrows) of the intake air temperature sensor (B17).

Remove intake air temperature sensor (B17)

 Do not unlatch or latch the intake air temperature sensor (B17) with the electrical connector (1) attached, as this may cause the snap-in brackets (arrows) to become overtensioned and may therefore break.

 Press together snap-in brackets (arrows) and detach intake air temperature sensor (B17)

 Installation: Replace the sealing ring at the coolant intake air temperature sensor (B17).

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory and erase

 STAR DIAGNOSIS
Stored faults which can result from lines being disconnected or from simulation during removal and installation or test work, have to be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
