Remove intake manifold (1)

Disconnect electrical connections on charge air temperature sensor (B17/8) and pressure sensor upstream of throttle valve (B28/6)

Disconnect electrical connection at throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

Unclip electrical line (4) on throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

5

Unscrew screw/bolts (5) for charge air cooler (2) on intake manifold (1)

Bolt, charge air cooler to charge air distribution line

Loosen clamp (6) for intake manifold (1) on throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

Detach charge air cooler (2) and throttle valve actuator (M16/6) on intake manifold (1)

Unclip electrical line (3) on throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

Remove screws/bolts (7) on throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

Bolt, throttle valve actuator to charge air cooler

Detach throttle valve actuator (M16/6) from charge air cooler (2)

Installation: Ensure correct seating of the seal between throttle valve actuator (M16/6) and charge air cooler (2).

Remove seal (8) for throttle valve actuator (M166) on charge air cooler (2)

Installation: Install new seal (8). Hook seal (8) onto charge air cooler (2).

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory using diagnostic unit and clear, if necessary
