Remove/install

1

Remove engine cover

 Installation: Ensure correct seating.

Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter

3

Remove screw/bolt (1) and detach low-pressure turbocharger boost pressure sensor (B5/4) at bracket

4

Remove screw/bolts (2) and glow output stage (N14/3) and detach bracket

 Bolt, glow output stage (GZE) control unit to bracket

Mark vacuum hose (3) relative to the respective connections on boost pressure control pressure transducer (Y31/5)

Detach vacuum hoses (3) from boost pressure control pressure transducer (Y31/5)

7

Remove screw/bolts (4) and detach boost pressure control pressure transducer (Y31/5) at bracket

8

Remove boost pressure control pressure transducer (Y31/5) and disconnect electrical connection on boost pressure control pressure transducer (Y31/5)

9

Install in the reverse order

10

Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and clear if necessary


