Remove/install hot film mass air flow sensor

Remove/Install

Turn key in the electronic ignition switch (EZS) control module to position "0"

 Vehicles with Keyless-Go Code 889: press Start/Stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off.

Remove air cleaner housing

Loosen hose clamp (1) and detach the left or right hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/6, B2/7) from air intake tube (2)

 Check hose clamp (1) and replace if necessary.

 Installation: installation position must be noted. The arrow on the housing indicates the flow direction of the intake air.

Insert moulding (2a) on the left or right hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/6, B2/7) into the cutout in the air intake tube (2).

Detach electrical connector (3) on the left or right hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/6, B2/7

Take out the left or right hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/6, B2/7)

Install in the reverse order

Read out DTC memory



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
