| Remove cylinder head cover trim
| Loosen hose clamp (1) and detach air intake pipe (2) from hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5) | Installation: Check hose clamps (1) for damage; replace if necessary.
| Disconnect electrical connector (3) at the hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5)
| Remove screw/bolts (4) and take hot film MAF sensor (B2/5) out of the air filter housing | Installation: Replace sealing ring on air filter housing. Observe installation position of hot film mass air flow sensor (B2/5). The arrow on the housing identifies the flow direction of the intake air.
| Install in the reverse order
| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out fault memory and erase if required | Stored faults which may be caused by assembly work, test work, removed lines or a simulation, must be processed and erased in fault memories after completing the work. |
