Remove/install

Remove toothed belt.

Remove radial shaft sealing ring of the camshaft (1).

Remove the oil separator.

Remove mixer housing.

Remove exhaust gas turbocharger with exhaust manifold.

Disconnect electrical connector of the position sensor (4).

Remove screws (3) of the camshaft housing (2).

Remove camshaft housing (2).

Remove camshaft (1) from the cylinder head.



 Installation: Wet bearing points of the camshaft (1) in the cylinder head with engine oil.



Clean

Clean sealing surfaces on the camshaft housing (2) and on the cylinder head.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check engine oil level.


The engine oil level must not lie above the maximum marking.
Engine damage can occur otherwise.

If engine oil level is incorrect,



Correct engine oil level.


