Remove, install engine timing

Remove

Remove screw/bolt (1) on intermediate gear (2).

Press intermediate gear (2) off of crankcase with suitable tool.


Install

Only insert intermediate gear (2) into bore (3) so that gear (5) is not yet engaged.

Tension gear (5) with suitable plastic wedge (6) by momentarily pressing counterclockwise pressure and simultaneously press intermediate gear (2) into bore (3).


The gear (5) must be tensioned counterclockwise until the gears (4, 5) align with each other (arrow).

Screw/bolt (1) into intermediate gear (2). .
