Remove timing case cover

AR01.40-P-8000MCD

2

Lift tensioning rail (2), lead over the chain tensioner (3) and remove downwards out of the timing chain chamber

Installation: Check tensioning rail (2) for wear, replace if necessary.

3

Position socket (4) over bearing bolt (5) for slide rail (6). Screw in bolt (7) with a screwed on nut into the bearing bolt (5) and remove bearing bolt (5)

Use socket (4) size 12 mm and bolt (7) M6 Turning the nut to the right causes the bearing bolt (5) to be pulled out of the cylinder head (8). Then remove bolt (7) with nut out of the bearing bolt (5) and remove bearing bolt (5).

Installation: Screw bolt (7) into the bearing bolt (5) and push in bearing bolt (5) using a suitable tool all the way into the cylinder head (8).

4

Pass by timing chain (1) on guide pin (arrow) at the slide rail (6) and remove downwards

Ensure that guide pin (arrow) on the slide rail (6) does not break otherwise the cylinder head (8) must be removed and the slide rail (6) replaced.

Installation: Introduce timing chain (1) from above into the timing chain chamber and fix in place under tension.
