Remove inlet camshaft

When replacing the hydraulic valve clearance compensation elements (1.2) on the intake valves.

Remove exhaust camshafts

When replacing the hydraulic valve clearance compensation elements (1.2) on the exhaust valves.

Remove hydraulic valve clearance compensation elements with roller-type cam follower (1) from the cylinder head (2)

Mark the hydraulic valve clearance compensation elements with roller-type cam follower (1) to be reused and install again in the same position.

Unclip hydraulic valve clearance compensation element (1.2) from the roller-type cam follower (1.1) spring (arrow) and remove

Do not disassemble hydraulic valve clearance compensation element (1.2) since this would destroy it.

Mark hydraulic valve clearance compensation elements (1.2) or roller-type cam follower (1.1) to be reused and install again in the same position.

Observe correct seating of the spring (arrow).
