Remove/install

1

Remove camshafts of the left cylinder bank.

AR05.20-D-6993TSV

2

Remove respective compensating element (2) with associated roller-type rocker arm (1).

Do not use a magnet. The slide surfaces of the compensating element (2) and the roller-type rocker arm (1) would magnetize themselves.
In this way the smallest possible iron chips can gather together. This can lead to damage to the compensating element (2) and camshaft.

If new compensating elements (2) are not installed,

reinstall compensating elements (2) at the previously installed location.

If necessary,

mark roller-type rocker arm (1) relative to the associated compensating element (2).

3

Remove clamps (3).

4

Remove compensating element (2) from the roller-type rocker arm (1).

5

Install in the reverse order.
