3 Hydraulic elements of valve lash compensation (hydraulic tappets)

4 Magnet wrench

Remove and install

Remove the camshafts (1, 2).

Lift-out, from the camshafts housing, the hydraulic elements of valve lash (3) compensation .

Lift-out one hydraulic element of valve lash compensation, place it flush over the remaining elements and pull these from the camshafts housing (by adhesion).

If necessary, utilize the magnetized wrench (4)

Check

Check the housing of the elements in the camshafts housing.

Check the housing surface for striae and damages. If necessary

Replace the camshafts housing.

Install in reverse order.
