Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Remove starter (2)

Do not remove electrical lines on starter (2).

Insert retaining lock (1) at starter opening in starter ring gear

If necessary turn engine in its direction of rotation at crankshaft until the toothing engages, see:
