 	Remove/install
Danger!	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
 Danger!	Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
1	Unscrew nuts (1) and remove bolts from transmission bell		*BA27.40-P-1008-01A
2	Remove cover (2) from crankcase
	Checking
3	Check splines of ring gear for drive plate	 Check splines for wear and damage by rotating engine at the center bolt for crankshaft in its direction of rotation. If necessary: 
		Replace drive plate.	AR03.30-P-8001RX

4	 Insert retaining lock (01) into access opening	 If required, rotate engine further at center bolt for crankshaft in engine's direction of rotation until the  retaining lock (01) snaps into place.
