Remove

Remove flywheel

Press out radial shaft sealing ring (2) with pry bar (1)

 Cover over crankshaft with a rag as a protection.

 Pry bar

Clean

Clean timing case in area of removed radial shaft sealing ring (2) and the flywheel flange



Check

4

Check contact surface of the radial shaft sealing ring (2) on the flywheel flange or race on the flywheel

In case of galling,



Fit new race onto flywheel flange.



Install

5

Install new radial shaft sealing ring (2) with the insertion device (3)

 Install radial shaft sealing ring (2) on the outer surface dry and on the inner sealing lip wet with engine oil.
If a race is mounted on the crankshaft flange then a radial shaft sealing ring (2) with a large inside diameter must be installed.
