Clean

Clean engine parts.

 If bearing damage has occurred, possibly present chips must be removed from oil duct, connecting rod bores and oil ducts of crankshaft (20) and crankcase.



Check

Check connecting rods.

After bearing damage has occurred.

Notes on assessing wear on connecting rod bearings and connecting rod journals

AH03.10-P-0001-03MM

 The connecting rod must have blue coloration, cross scores and notches.

If a problem occurs



replace connecting rod.

Check crankshaft (20).

Information on assessing wear of main bearings and main bearing journals

 Check crankshaft (20) after a bearing damage has occurred and repair or replace as required.



Mount crankshaft (20) radially.
