Checking

Remove oil filter element and check slats of oil filter element from outside for metal abrasion and swollen condition

Only in case of extreme wear or damage to the engine components.

Replace oil-water heat exchanger

Only if there is metal grit on the oil filter element lamella or in the engine oil circuit.

Remove oil spray nozzles, check them and replace them if necessary

Only if the pistons were damaged.

Remove oil pump, disassemble and check for wear and damage by means of a visual inspection

Only if increased metal abrasion was established on the lamella of the oil filter element.

Replace engine oil and oil filter element

If metal abrasion or swollen condition of oil filter element (coolant in engine oil circuit).
