Remove bracket (5) from cylinder head

 Screw/bolt, differential pressure sensor bracket to cylinder head

Unscrew screws (7) and remove heat shield (6)

 Screw/bolt, heat shield to exhaust manifold

Remove screw/bolts (8, 10) and take off exhaust gas recirculation pipe (9)

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace seals.

Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray

 Bolt, exhaust gas recirculation line to rear cylinder head cover

*BA14.20-N-1025-01H

 Bolt, exhaust gas recirculation line to exhaust manifold

Remove screws (3)

 Collect the escaping coolant in a suitable container.

 Bolt, exhaust gas recirculation line to rear cylinder head cover

*BA14.20-N-1026-01H

Remove screw/bolts (2, 4) and remove cover (1)

AR01.00-P-0050-01A

 Screw/bolts (2) remain in cover (1).
Collect the escaping coolant in a suitable container.

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace gasket.

 Bolt, cover on cylinder head

Install in the reverse order



 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check engine in the area of the cover (1) for leaktightness
