Remove all fuel injectors.

Check

Set piston of the 1st cylinder onto the top dead center (ignition TDC).

The crankshaft may be turned only in the direction of engine rotation.
The timing chain can skip otherwise and cause engine damage.

 Cylinders 2 and 3 are checked in this position.

Connect light projector (1) and insert flexible endoscope (2) through bore for fuel injector into cylinder 2.



Check cylinder barrel of cylinder 2 for scoring.

Perform check of cylinder 3 in the same manner.

Continue turning crankshaft of engine by 180°.
