Endoscope

 	Remove/install
1	Remove the spark plug on the cylinder to be checked.
			AP15.10-P-1580D
2	Remove the engine air intake ducts upstream of the air filters.
3	Remove lower engine compartment paneling.		AR61.20-P-1105LWE
4	Remove charge air cooler and place to one side with attached coolant lines.		AR09.41-P-6817MND
5	Turn engine at center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation until the piston of the cylinder to be checked is at bottom dead center (BDC).	 Socket wrench bit	*001589650900
6	Connect the endoscope (1) and guide the endoscope (1) through the spark plug bore into the cylinder to be checked.

	Check
7	Check cylinder barrels.
	General information on checking valves, valve seats and valve guides		AH05.30-P-1000-02SZ
	General information on inspecting cylinder walls		AH01.00-P-0300-01AMG
		 If there is 'scoring' (wear to the cylinder), the cylinder barrel has become rough and honing marks are no longer visible.
		If the condition of the cylinder barrels is not clearly recognizable,
		
		Remove cylinder head.
		RH cylinder head	AR01.30-P-5780MND
		LH cylinder head	AR01.30-P-5770MND
8	Install in the reverse order.
