Remove/install

Release clamps of the charge air lines from the charge air cooler, unclip charge air cooler from the bottom retaining clamp, and pull charge air cooler forward with connected coolant lines.

Remove spark plug from the cylinder to be tested.



Turn engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation until the piston of the cylinder to be checked is at bottom dead center.

Connect endoscope (1) and insert flexible endoscope through spark plug thread bore into the cylinder to be checked.



Check cylinder barrels, piston crowns, and valves.
