Risk of explosion caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contactwith fuel.

No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove

Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key.

Remove fuel injectors.

Check

Move piston of cylinder to be checked to bottom dead center (BDC).

Do not rotate engine against direction of engine rotation.
Damage may occur otherwise.

 To do this, rotate engine at belt pulley of crankshaft in direction of rotation.

Connect endoscope (2) to light projector (1).



Insert endoscope (2) through injector well into cylinder to be checked.



Check cylinder barrel for damage and wear.

General information on inspecting cylinder walls

 In the case of cylinder wear, cylinder barrel is roughened and honing marks are no longer visible.

If no clearly identifiable cylinder wear or damage is present



Remove respective cylinder head.

Remove/install left cylinder head

Remove/install right cylinder head

Pull the endoscope (2) out of the tested cylinder.

Check remaining cylinder barrels in the same way.



Install

Install fuel injectors.
