1 | Turn off the ignition switch | ||
2 | Disconnect the electric wiring harness (1) | ||
3 | Drain the fuel through the drain valve (3) | Catch the fuel in a suitable way. | |
4 | Lift out the vent valve cap (10) and depress the center pin | Catch the fuel in a suitable way. | |
5 | Remove the transparent bowl (4) | Utilize a suitable wrench. | |
6 | Remove the filtering element (5) | Dispose of the filtering element according to the current environmental legislation. | |
7 | Remove the fuel pump from the body (7) | ||

8 | Remove the bypass valve (9) from the fuel pump body (7) | Do not try to remove the bypass valve without removing the fastening blade, otherwise, damage may occur. To remove the bypass valve, loosen the screw using a "Philips" screwdriver. | |

9 | Clean the fuel pump body (7) and the bypass valve (9) | Do not try to clean the pump body without removing the bypass valve, this may damage the fastening blade. To remove the bypass valve, loosen the screw using a "Philips" screwdriver. | |
10 | Clean the fuel pump pre-filter (8) | Clean using compressed air jets. If scaling sludge or clogging is detected, the pre-filter has to be replaced. | |

11 | Install the fuel pump body (7) | ||

13 | Install the transparent bowl (4) | ||
14 | Connect the electric wiring harness (1) | ||
