Coolant expansion reservoir

 Danger !

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

 Check and correct coolant level only at a coolant temperature of less than 50 °C.
The engine cooling system is correctly filled, when the coolant is level with the maximum mark on the coolant expansion reservoir (1).

If the engine cooling system is not filled sufficiently



Check engine cooling system for leaktightness and correct coolant level – subject to separate repair order.
