The receiver antenna runs between the front structure and the instrument panel, along the lower edge of the windshield. The vehicle can be locked or unlocked from any direction using the radio frequency locking system. The maximum range with a new fully-charged battery is about 10 meters.
The LED in the radio frequency locking system transmitter key serves as a battery status indicator. The LED illuminates briefly when the hinged key is opened or closed. If it no longer illuminates, the battery should be replaced. Basically, the minimum voltage of the remote radio locking system is below the switching threshold of the LED.
