Remove passenger seat bench in 2nd row

Unclip inner D-pillar paneling (2) from outer D-pillar paneling and in lower and front area of side paneling (7)

Unscrew bolt (8)

Unclip cover (3) and remove

Remove washer (17)

Remove cover (16)

Unclip cover above bolt (4) and remove

Unscrew bolt (4)

Detach sealing frame (5) in area of side paneling (7)

Remove lock (9) for bed extension

Mark installation position of guide (13)

Unscrew bolts (12) and remove guide (13)

 Installation: Observe markings.

Detach side paneling (7) in area of retaining clips (14, 15)

 Installation: Remove foam rubber base from retaining clip (15).

Install long wedge (10) between side paneling (7) and window frame in area of arrows (A) as shown and disengage retaining clips (11)


Carefully detach side paneling (7).
Otherwise the side paneling (7) and the retaining clips (11) can be damaged.

 Installation: Ensure that retaining clips (11) are seated correctly on window frame rabbet.

Guide side paneling (7) downward out of inner D-pillar paneling (2) and remove until electrical connectors are accessible at rear

Disconnect electrical connector from right rear side wall tweeter (H4/44)

Disconnect electrical connector from right 1st seat row socket (X58/35)

Disconnect electrical connector from right rear load compartment socket (X58/12)

22

Disconnect electrical connector from right trunk lamp (E18/2)

Disconnect electrical connector from right C-pillar footwell lamp (E17/22)

Disconnect electrical connector from right vent window switch (S21/16)

Remove side paneling (7)

Remove detachable parts from side paneling (7)

When replacing side paneling (7).
