Side portal frame

Install inner A-pillar reinforcement (2), fit and fix in place with side portal frame and welding device.

Drill rivet holes on inner A-pillar reinforcement (2) with Ø 6.5 mm (area A).

Remove inner A-pillar reinforcement (2) and welding device.

Deburr rivet holes on both sides.

Coat insides of riveted joints and rivet holes with zinc dust paint.

Install A-pillar reinforcement (2), fit and fix in place with welding device.

Bend over sheet metal lug on inner A-pillar reinforcement (2) (area B).

Inner A-pillar reinforcement (2) (areas B to E).

Inner A-pillar reinforcement (2) (areas F and G).

Rivet inner A-pillar reinforcement (2) with Polygrip Ø 6,4x14 countersunk head rivet (area H).

Grind inert gas welds down flat.

Clean weld joints.

Remove shavings and drill chips.

Apply zinc dust paint to weld joints (areas B to E).
