Transfer separating point from vehicle (areas A to C).

Drill holes for MAG welding in A-pillar outer section (1) (area F).

Drill holes for MAG welding in A-pillar outer section (1) (areas G and H).

Punch holes for MAG welding in A-pillar outer section (1) (areas I and J).

Grind mating surfaces on A-pillar outer section (1) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas around holes.
Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Remove shavings and drill chips.

Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

Model 447 with code JX0 (Short-distance operation) Grind mating surfaces on A-pillar outer section (1) and A-pillar reinforcement (2) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
