Remove/Install

Remove O2 sensor downstream of TWC (G3/1)

 Unscrewing the O2ssensor downstream of TWC (G3/1) from the catalytic convertor with center muffler (3) is only necessary when replacing the catalytic convertor with the center muffler (3).

Remove rear center muffler (1)

Loosen clamp (5)

Unhinge retaining rubbers (2) at the catalytic convertor with center muffler (3)

 Helper required

 Installation: Check retaining rubbers (2), replace if necessary

Pull catalytic convertor with center muffler (3) out of the exhaust pipe (4)

 Helper required

Install in the reverse order

 Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns when working in engine during starting procedure

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
