1 Inspection glass

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Start engine

To check the refrigerant level the coolant temperature must be at least 50 °C.

Switch on air conditioning and set temperature controller to maximum cooling capacity.

See air conditioning operating instructions.

Remove cover over inspection glass (1) of air conditioning

On model 613.455 Konvekta ACX 641 SAPTCO air conditioning without roof heater code HKB only remove the rear cover.

Remove/install the air conditioning cover (roof equipment)

Remove/install cover over filter drier of rear air conditioning

Allow engine to run at approx. 1400 rpm

Check refrigerant level in inspection glass (1) after approx. 5 minutes

The air conditioning is correctly filled when the refrigerant is visible without any bubbles in the inspection glass (1).

If there are a lot of bubbles:

Check circuit of air conditioning for leaks subject to separate repair order.

Check the moisture content of the refrigerant in the inspection glass (1)

The refrigerant is OK if the pin in the center of the inspection glass (1) is green.The refrigerant is not OK if the pin in the center of the inspection glass (1) is yellow.

If the refrigerant is not OK it must be emptied out of the system, recycled and the specified filling amount must then be refilled into the system subject to a separate repair order.

Install cover over inspection glass (1) of air conditioning

Remove/install the air conditioning cover (roof equipment)
