Removal tool

Remove
If the Pitman arm (2) is removed with the steering in the vehicle, keep it supported by the tie rod to avoid motion in the steering sector during the removal.
1 Loosen the steering arm (2) nut, but do not remove it.
Danger: If the nut is removed in this operation, the sudden release of the Pitman arm together with the removal tool may cause severe injuries.
2 Loosen the Pitman arm (2) with the removal tool It comes off suddenly.
3 Remove the nut and the Pitman arm (2).
Install
4 Install the Pitman arm (2) in the steering gear (1) and tighten a new locknut.
Marks (arrows) in the Pitman arm (2) and in the steering sector must match.
