Fixed bearing (bronze bushing) on SB 7000 brake caliper:

To install the guide pin (5) and the protection bellows (9) on the bronze bushing side, follow steps 1 to 4:

1 Lube the bronze bushing (7) and the guide pin (5) with the specified grease (lithium grease). The grease is supplied along with the respective repair kit.

2 Install the new guide pin (5) inside the bronze bushing (7).

3 Fit the sealing lip (9.1) of protection bellows (9) onto the guide pin housing (5) and fit the protection ring (58) onto the sealing lip.

Float bearing (type "1" rubber bushing) on SB 7000 brake caliper:

To install the guide pin (4c) on the type "1" rubber bushing (6c) side, follow steps 5 and 6:

5 Lube rubber bushing type "1"(6c) and the guide pin (4c) with the specified grease (colored grease).

6 Install the new guide pin (4c) inside the rubber bushing (6c).

To install the holder onto SB7000 brake caliper with rubber bushing type "1" (6c), follow steps 7 and 8:

7 Set the holder (2) of the brake caliper (1) on the guide pins and push the holder to compress the internal protection bellows. The protector should not build internal pressure.

On version "1" SB7000 calipers (6c) two screws (40) (indicated by the arrows) are applied on both bearings and both have micro-encapsulated thread. The torque for both screws is the same. Bothscrews (40) can only be used once.

8 Install the new screws with the specified torque and tighten evenly in steps.

Float bearing (rubber bushing type "2") on SB 7000 brake caliper:

On version "2" SB7000 calipers (6a) two screws are applied, the (39) which is a regular screw applied on the rubber bushing side. The other one is the micro-encapsulated screw (40) used on the bronze bushing side. The torque for both screws is the same. Both screws (39) and (40) can only be used once.

The side figure shows a version "2" SB7000 caliper with rubber bushing (6a).
