Spider case side
1 Install the universal joint cross with spider gears and nuts at the spider case.
2 Install the dial gage and move spider gears checking the backlash.
3 Install the proper thickness stop washer under the planetary gear to provide the specified gear backlash.

4 Install the universal joint cross with spider gears and nuts on the spider gears at the cover of the spider case.
5 Install the dial gage and move spider gears checking the backlash.
6 Install the proper thickness stop washer under the planetary gear to provide the specified gear backlash.
