The king pin should be mounted without clearance on the steering knuckle. Therefore, during installation, check and adjust if required.

Remove
Lower king pin on the steering box side
1 Loosen the bolts (1).
2 Remove from the joint housing the king pin (2) and the roller thrust bearing (3).

Upper king pin on the steering box side
3 Loosen the bolts (4) and (5).
4 Remove the steering arm (6) and the king pin (7).
5 Remove the compensating washer (8).

Lower king pin on the opposite side to the steering box
6 Loosen the screws (9).
7 Remove from the joint housing the king pin (10), the spring washer (12) and the snap ring(11).

Upper king pin on the opposite side to the steering box
8 Loosen the screws (13).
9 Remove the king pin (14).
10 Remove the compensating washer (15).

Installing
Replace micro-encapsulated screws.
Lower king pin on the steering box side
11 Assemble on the king pin (16) the roller thrust bearing (17) with slots facing upwards.
12 Install the lower king pin (16) in the joint housing and tighten the screws (18) to the specified torque.

Upper king pin on the steering box side
13 Install the upper king pin (19) with the predetermined compensating washer.
14 Install the steering arm (20) and tighten the screws (21, 22) to the specified torque.

Lower king pin on the opposite side to the steering box
15 Assemble on the lower king pin (23) the snap ring (24) with slots facing upwards.
16 Mount the spring washers (25).
17 Install the king pin in the joint housing and tighten the screws (26) to the specified torque.

Upper king pin on the opposite side to the steering box
18 Install the upper king pin (27) with predetermined compensating washer in the joint housing and tighten the screws (28) to the specified torque.
