Disassemble

Remove the upper and lower bushings from the steering knuckle

Check

Check the steering knuckle for cracks, fissures, and wear of the fist surfaces. Inspect the even surface of the bearing seats and check for run-out

Should the maximum permissible tolerances be exceeded, replace the steering knuckle

Danger, it is not permitted to straighten or to align the steering knuckle

Assembling

Install the bushings in the steering knuckle using the corresponding mandrel

For axles VL3-4,5 and VL3/4-5.

Pay attention to the assembly position of the upper bushing, except for VL3-4,5

After installing the bushings in the steering knuckle, check again their inner diameter with a reamer

Assemble the retainer in the upper lodging with the sealing lip face down

Except for VL3-4,5 front axle.

Check the zerk fittings for conditions, if necessary, replace them
